National Almond Day Giveaway!

We all have busy schedules, and this month is no exception. Of course there’s Valentine’s Day, and you may know its American Heart Month, but did you know it’s also National Almond Day on February 16th?
You do now! What’s the connection between Heart Month and almonds? California Almonds make a great on-the-go snack and are cholesterol-free and low in saturated fat. Plus, when compared ounce for ounce, almonds are the tree nut highest in protein, fiber, calcium and Vitamin E. That makes our hearts happy.
To celebrate, our friends at the Almond Board of California are giving away a fun celebration tote loaded with almond goodies: whole natural almonds, almond flour, blanched sliced almonds, almond butter, two perfect portion almond tins, and an Almond Inspiration Cookbook! The Almond Board of California sent us each the almond bundle and trust us, you won’t be disappointed!

Win this giveaway and you’ll have all you need to celebrate and experiment with almonds in the kitchen.
To enter the raffle, just leave a comment below letting us know your favorite way to snack on almonds! And don’t forget to follow California Almonds on Facebook and Twitter @almonds.

I love to use Almond Cream( peeled and ground with water to a smooth paste) as a substitute for whipped cream in sautéing veggies and chicken. Gives a creamer texture for sandwiches tortilla, flatbread, panini.... U name it ... :)
Seriously, i like them on everything: chicken, salads, alone as a snack, pork.....etc :)
