Here’s one of our favorite drinks instead of coffee… Chai Tea Latte–Enjoy!

Chai Tea Latte
Serves: 2

Ingredients

  • 2 individual tea bags
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp ground ginger
  • ¼ tsp ground allspice
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup non-fat milk
  • 4 tsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp vanilla soy milk
  • fat free whipped cream (optional)

Directions

  1. Place the tea bags, cinnamon, ginger and allspice in the coffee filter of a drip coffeemaker. Add water and brew according to instructions on coffeemaker.
  2. While tea mixture is brewing, combine the non-fat milk, soy milk and brown sugar into a small pan. Cook and stir over medium heat until heated through and sugar is dissolved.
  3. Pour milk mixture into coffee mugs; stir in tea, until evenly mixed. Enjoy!

With fat free whipped cream each tablespoon would add 15 calories

Per Serving (without fat free whipped cream): 78 calories, 1 g fat, 14 g carbohydrate, 5 grams protein, 1 g fiber, 12 g sugar, 75 mg sodium
