Wanna know a secret to make the flavor of spices last longer?

If you cook your own meals you know how much flavor fresh herbs can add. But fresh herbs go bad much more quickly than dried herbs do.

Here’s a great trick:
To help your fresh herbs last a little longer, take them out of the plastic they come in as soon as you get home from the grocery store. Then cut the bottoms of the stems and place the stems in water in the refrigerator.

One of our favorites:
We especially love fresh basil—we add it to eggs, tomato sauces, veggies—you name it! And we just learned this trick to keep herbs fresh and have been loving it! Our clients tell us they love mozzarella, tomato and basil.
