Looking for a delicious treat for after you exercise that’s good for you too? We’ve got it here! It’s a good ratio of carbs to protein to fat and chock full of vitamins and minerals. And the best part is that it’s so tasty, you’ll feel like it’s a treat!

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz of low-fat or fat free milk
  • 1 tablespoons of peanut butter
  • ½ a banana
  • 1 cup spinach
  • ½ cup strawberries
  • ¼ cup walnuts
  • 1 scoop protein powder or ½ cup nonfat plain or vanilla yogurt

Directions:
Put all ingredients in a blender. Blend.

It’s so simple and it’s the perfect post-exercise meal! You can make it quick and eat it within an hour of exercising – the best time to refuel after a hard workout.

*If you’re allergic to nuts you can leave out the nut butter or substitute for a nut-free alternative like sunflower butter or soy nut butter

*If you’re lactose-intolerant or vegan, use your favorite milk substitute. We love to use almond milk!
