Masala Chai Tea

Here’s one of our favorite recipes that’s sure to give you a boost:

Masala Chai Tea

Ingredients:

  • 1 ¼ cup water
  • 2 cloves, crushed
  • 1 cinnamon stick, crushed
  • 2 cardamom pod, crushed
  • 1/3 cup skim milk
  • 1 ½ tbsp raw sugar
  • 1 ½ tbsp black tea leaves (we use decaffeinated tea)

Directions:

  1. Put water and spices in a saucepan. Bring to a boil. Cover and let simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  2. Add milk and sugar. Stir in until dissolved. Bring back to a light boil.
  3. Add tea leaves. Take off heat. Steep for 5 minutes.
  4. Pour through a filter to strain the tea leaves and spices.
  5. Enjoy warm!
