Strawberry Oatmeal Breakfast Smoothie

Summer’s here and if you’re like many of our clients, you love smoothies to keep you cool and energized.
Here’s a great energy-revving breakfast smoothie recipe that’s packed with antioxidants and fiber. It’s just 240 calories, so you could even add an egg omelet, a hard boiled egg, a yogurt or a slice of whole-grain toast with peanut butter and still not break the calorie bank!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup light soy milk
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1 banana, broken into chunks
  • 14 frozen strawberries
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

In a blender, combine soy milk, oats, banana and strawberries. Add vanilla if desired. Blend until smooth. Pour into glasses and serve.
