Whether we need to warm up when waking up on a chilly morning, coming in from a cold long walk or run outside, or just looking to unwind at the end of the day, we love…

Tea! Really, it’s absolutely soothing and it’s fun to experiment! There are endless flavors to try and, depending on the blend, it can give us energy for the day or help us calm down at night. Sometimes we even make our own tea with leftover herbs and spices around the house. It’s not only inexpensive to make tea this way, but it’s also quick and super easy!

One of our favorites is lemon basil tea.

  • One cup hot water
  • 2-3 Basil leaves, washed
  • 2 pieces of lemon rind (each about 1 1/2 – 2 inches long)

We just add the basil leaves and lemon rind to a cup of hot water. Let it sit for a few minutes and enjoy!

What’s your favorite kind of tea? Do you ever make your own?
