Simply indulge in this Cocoa-Nut Banana recipe—your taste buds will thank you and your body will too because you won’t feel weighed down.

This recipe is short and sweet and makes the perfect mid-afternoon snack or even a small dessert for when you’re looking for a sweet treat after dinner.

Bananas are filled with potassium which helps to activate your muscles and they’re rich in nutrients that provide energy for your body. Research has proven that just two bananas can provide enough energy for a strenuous 90-minute workout. We don’t need to tell you how delicious cocoa powder is, but what may be a surprise is that it actually has many health benefits including the ability to lower high blood pressure, lower cholesterol levels, and boost cognitive performance. Hello Smarty Pants!

Ingredients:
(4 Servings)

  • 4 teaspoons cocoa powder
  • 4 teaspoons toasted unsweetened coconut
  • 2 small bananas, sliced on the bias

Directions:

  1. Slice bananas to preferred sizes
  2. Place cocoa and coconut on separate plates.
  3. Roll each banana slice in the cocoa,
  4. Shake off the excess, then dip the top of each slice in the coconut
  5. Enjoy your treats!
